Hot & Cold Stone Therapy
Hot Stones originated in India and China and has been around for many centuries. It is believed that the use of stones cleanses the body, relaxes the heart, grounds the soul and soothes the mind. The treatment involves using a range of smooth stones which are heated to massage the lower leg. Followed by a range of stone work techniques with either warm basalt or cooled marine stones depending on your treatment outcome to work specific reflex points. The treatment is extremely relaxing for the client and also feels wonderful for your hands, the heat will do the work rather than your fingers and thumbs allowing you to work deeper into the facia and subsequent reflex points.
About
Hi, I’m Katy Wayne, I have over 20 years of experience teaching within the Hair, Beauty and Spa sector. I developed an interest in Complementary therapies after the loss of my beautiful Dad back in 2013; this led me into my clinical reflexology training. I was taught by David Wayte and achieved the highest level of clinical reflexology training available within the UK – The level 5 Practitioner Diploma.
In 2017 I set up my Clinic in the beautiful Derbyshire village of Parwich, near to Ashbourne, Bakewell, Matlock and Buxton and I continued my quest of further knowledge and additions to my toolbox of techniques. This led me to me to my love and specialism of Hot and Cold Stone Reflexology, which enabled me to further support my clients by offering a deeper level of relaxation as well as profound treatment results all at the same time as safeguarding my joints.
